Ralph & Ruby
Ralph Moore and Ruby, met as students in a Bible college.
After serving seven years as youth pastors in California’s San Fernando Valley, they planted the first Hope Chapel in Manhattan Beach, CA with just 12 people and their personal savings. Five years later the congregation relocated to an abandoned bowling alley in nearby Hermosa Beach. Twelve years and 30 church plants after launching the first church they planted Hope Chapel Kaneohe Bay, in Hawaii (now Anchor Church). This time they partnered with Aaron and Stephanie Suzuki and a team of 26 others.
Twenty-seven years into the Hawaii move they handed off the Kaneohe church to their son, Carl, and a team of young staff members. The Moores and a seasoned team planted a third church, Hope Chapel Honolulu.
Besides being church planters, they are happy parents and grandparents. Now living in San Diego, Ralph, a former surfer, occasionally gets in the water with a stand-up paddle board. Currently, he mostly spends free time walking, reading and feeding this website.
He also works as a member of the team at Exponential.org. His title is, “Church Multiplication Catalyst.”
You can gather their full story and learn how your congregation could multiply into something much larger than you think with Ralph’s book, Let Go of the Ring: The Hope Chapel Story.
